I have booked my next development course. I am attending the Sutherland Cranial College Module 4 course on the 14th-18th of May. The rather long title of it is "W.G. Sutherland's Approach to the Body as a Whole Using the Principle of Balanced Ligamentous Tension (BLT)." Essentially the technique of balanced ligamentous tension is where the osteopath finds a joint's position of optimum ease/balance and allows the self correcting ability of the body to heal it more effectively. It is a very gentle and effective technique that can be used on most joints of the body that I already use in practice. I am hoping that this course will allow me to further my knowledge and confidence in using this technique more effectively and on joints that I haven't applied it to much.
