I did the first half of my CPD course last weekend. It is the Sutherland Cranial College's Osteopathic Medicine - Organs and Systems course. I spent both days learning how to delicately treat the body as a whole and then some specific techniques for certain organs. In treating an organ one has to support it and allow the body's own healing mechanism to deal with the cause of any problems. The organs are suspended by ligaments and connective tissue to the skeleton and so, issues with organs can cause problems in the musculoskeletal system. This weekend concentrated primarily on the digestive system, liver and cardiovascular system. The second weekend is in July.
